This is the BEST Vientamese place in town! Their egg rolls and HUGE cream cheese puffs (wontons) are handmade everyday. All their food and sauces is home made (nothing "mass manufactured" that I could tell. Their sauces are fantastic. I'm a regular and I always order the same things (so does my large family--7+ people) and the waitresses always know our order...we don't have to say anything. They bring our beverages and our appetizers and food. The same family has run this for years. Exceptional service...we count them as our own family now they are so fantastic....and they count us as ours... You will not find a better place in town, in food, service or atmosphere!

Feeling for some soup...Vietnamese is a good non-creamy, absolutely yummy, calorie packing option. What a good option! Of course when I got in there and saw all the menu items, I abandoned the 'soup only' idea and ordered the spicy Lo Mein and boy was it good! They give a lot of food and I got 3 servings out of the meal! Score!!!!

Awesome! The hot and spicy beef rocks and can be ordered to you preferred spice level. Extra spicy is the never-fail cure for a head cold at my house. The egg roll salad is another favorite, combining a refreshing salad of lettuce, cellophane noodles, and cilantro with 2 crispy egg rolls. Total yum!

This is a nice little Vietnamese place located just of Hwy 35W in Mounds View. The inside is bright and cheery. There is a Shrimp lamp fixture on the wall. It was quite amusing if not a bit creepy having this pair of happy little creatures watch me eat. I'm glad I'm not the one that ordered shrimp. We had Spring Rolls as an appetizer. Not bad, but not out of this world either. Peanut sauce did not have a lot of punch to it. They were neatly made and quite fresh. Appealing to the eye. The entrees did not strike me as unique. The Kung Pao Beef was not differentiated from many other places I have tried. The rice was better than average though. The spice level (low, medium, or high) was done quite well. I liked the Shrimp LoMein. The noodles had a nice flavor to them. The service was quick and professional. What was unique (to me) - the menu listed a number of varieties of PHO. I will have to return and try it.

Food is average to below average. Nothing special. Very good service, very cordial family running the place.

Great service and food! We normally order pho and eggrolls. Their special combo fried rice is also good and spicy.

I work nearby, and make it a point to come here when I can for lunch. Everything I've tried has been great, The servers know their customers, and the orders come out quickly. The egg rolls are the best that I've ever had (OK, among the best that I've ever had), as are the spring rolls. My go-to entrees are the curry chicken and the combination pho - the soup is downright medicinal on cold wet days. My only gripe would be consistency - sometimes "medium" comes out mild, and sometimes it's hot enough to numb your lips. If they made bahn mi, I'd probably move in.

I eat here at least once during my visits to MN since its down the street from my relatives and they like it. I'm from CA's bay area, so I've grown up eating pho at many different viet restaurants - and I have to say I'm pretty impressed by Pink Flower - one of the few authentic asian restaurants in the area that haven't dumbed themselves down too much for white people. They have a pretty large menu for a viet restaurant - most places at home have a 1-2 pg menu because they specialize in pho, while Pink Flower actually has several pages of dishes (I haven't tried all of it). Most recently I had the Special Egg Noodle Soup (?). It has the same broth as regular pho but it has egg noodles instead of rice noodles. It had a few small pieces of bbq pork, a few wontons - yummy, and some shrimp. It was really good, only I wish that the noodle portion was bigger or that there were more extras in it. I would definitely get it again or even try their Wonton Soup. Service is nice. The waiters don't mind making conversation and readily recommend dishes. I'm sure you might find better restaurants downtown or in more diverse areas, but I honestly think this is top notch.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. This place is a dive, but the food is excellent. Their egg rolls are phenomenal and the pho is delicious. I have never left disappointed. If you're in the area give this place a try. They are not open Sundays, so plan accordingly.

I am just finishing up a meal at the Pink Flower. The seafood with asparagus was incredible. Also tried an eggroll which was very good. Good service, nice setting, highly recommended.

I only give this place two stars because the service was great, otherwise, the food wasn't too good. After trying Four different suburbian vietnamese restaurants I have learned my lesson: If I want real, good tasting, vietnamese food I have to go the the city. This restaurant at least had asians working there, but the food wasn't good, incuding the Pho Tai, which even if an asian restaurant has bad egg rolls, the Pho is usually good. Not at Pink Flower. Egg rolls, bad flavor, but they were crunchy! Lo mein, no good. Pho Tai, no good. Fortune cookie (BTW this is a vietnamese restaurant NOT chinese) good. Great service but they have become what americans want, cheap food that doesn't taste too much different from something they could make at home, but is different enough that we feel proud of ourselves because we like another cultures food! If you want true vietnamese you need to go to a hole-in-the-wall in the city, (not mia village or Ngon, etc, etc) If there are silverware ON the table, leave.

Mmmm Vietnamese food.I have no idea if this is authentic or not and frankly my dear I don't give a damn. I don't think it's authentic but This place is good. The decor is simple and kind of ugly and the location confuses you because you think there is no way this joint in a really crappy strip mall in the middle of mounds view will be any good at all. It's pretty rad. The large wonton soup is chock full of wontons, beef, pork, and veggies. Idk if the egg rolls are homemade or not but again who cares? They are delish. The egg roll salad is really simple abut huge and filling. Egg rolls sliced into bite size portions, noodles, lettuce some carrots and a peanut ginger (I think) vinegarette for dressing. They also have some chineese dishes on the menu. I've never tried them but they sure smell good. They have some 5 spice dishes on the menu that I'm looking forward to trying. And Ive Heard the spring rolls are pretty spot on. authentic or not it is a taste of culture in the cultural wasteland that is the northern suburbs.

Pretty decent vietnamese. Egg rolls. Salads. Phos. Chicken and potato.

My boyfriend and I come here at least once a month for Pho. It never gets old and it's always good. I suggest starting with an order of the spring rolls and egg rolls. Even better, the owner and the servers are also friendly.

Dear Pink Flower, For my last meal I would like you to bring me an order of your shrimp spring rolls minus the pork. Thanks.

Excellent Pho great egg rolls and spring rolls. Fabulous service! We had split our order and told our waitress we were sharing and without asking she gave us an extra bowl and two plates that had divided the rolls with sauces and everything. Awesome restaurant and highly recommend!

I've been a regular for many years. This is a reliable, solid Vietnamese strip-mall restaurant. Generally great, friendly service. Usually quite fast during lunch hour, although they can get backed up (but only a few minutes slower than normal) between about 11:45 - 12:30, so if you want very quick in-and-out for lunch, I recommend getting there by 11:30 or after 12:45. Lunch specials are all chicken-based entrees with an egg roll (or you can sub another app for egg roll), and the egg rolls are very good. Spicier tastes will gravitate to hot & spicy chicken or curry chicken -- these are quite chicken-heavy with virtually no veggies. Can add veggies to them by request. The rice noodle salads (bún) make for an excellent lunch on a hot day. The rice noodle soups (ph) perfect on a cold winter day. There are many entrées inside the menu, some getting a little more adventurous than the lunch specials. The portions are generous--splitting an order of spring rolls and an entrée makes for a satisfying lunch for two. There are many vegetarian options, including tofu-based, mock duck-based, or just lots of veggies. The curry dishes are excellent, but quite different than Thai curries. You'll likely find more adventuresome, nouveau (meant in a positive sense) Vietnamese cuisine in the cities, but for suburban strip malls Pink Flower is solid as a lunch box and better than most oriental restaurants within a 5 mile radius.

Not the worst Vietnamese food I've had, but definitely in the bottom ten percent. Just ... Not good. Bland and forgettable,

I've been here a few times now, always for lunch since I work in the area. I actually like that it's not a buffet and you order off the menu. There are lunch special though. Prices are great. The very best thing about this place is the eggroll. Do not go here without ordering the eggroll. Better than any I've ever tried. You can get in and out of this place in a normal amount of time for a work lunch. I haven't actually tried the traditional Vietnamese foods here. I live in St. Paul and eat lots of great Vietnamese food, I just haven't been in the mood for it when I've gone to Pink Flower. It has nothing to do with the restaurant or the menu, I've just always wanted other things when I've gone.

PROS: Top 5 places for Pho in Minneapolis. The quality is consistent and the service is really good. I haven't tried anything other than the pho yet. CONS: Bathroom is a little run-down. PARKING: Easy to find parking. Big lot out front. All-in-all, if you're in the area, which has limited options for good restaurants, hit-up Pink Flower and you won't be disappointed.

As with all Vietnamese restaurants, the best kinds are the hole-in-the-walls. This place is located in a nondescript strip mall close to the Mounds View Medtronic campus. As you can imagine, it's a favorite for a quick work lunch. I have been there several times and have not had a chance to check out much of their quite extensive menu because I am so satisfied with their beef pho. The price is stupendous and the quantity is large. They are quick to give you extra of whatever side you prefer. (Limes galore!) The egg rolls are delectably flaky, I'd give them a three-way tie with Gion in New Hope and Quangs. The cream cheese wontons are large and always served piping hot. Their decor is a bit odd, but it adds to the charm. Specifically, they have a large crawfish (that's also a light?) hanging around in a few places. There seems to be a lot of regulars, because I have noticed the waitress not needing to write down orders quite frequently. It's great spot, and well worth it to check out if you live in the area.

Very pleased with the food and service at this place. Tried the Pho, pork egg rolls, fried chicken wings, and cream cheese puffs. All were very good but the Pho was definitely the star! Definitely recommend this place!

My husband and I have been going to your restaurant for many years. We love the food, the service and the friendly manner of the staff. All for such a good value!!! On Monday, December 29, 2014, we brought our grandchildren from Los Angeles along to experience the food and service. Here is what they said: Cole said (age 9): it was a total score. I could not stop eating and I drank two cups of tea, I didn't know I drank tea! It was so good that I had two cups. I love the fried shrimps. The best I've had in whole entire life, probably the best I ever had. I ate so much that my tummy said "no more" to eating. But I wanted to so bad, cuz the food was amazing. The chicken pho was the best thing I had in years. The waitress was so nice, she gave us extra fortune cookies afterwards. I ate all three! I love Pink Flower. FIVE STARS!!!!!!!! Riis said (age 7): Pink Flower is the most delicious restaurant in the town! I loved the won-ton soup, the fortune cookies were awesome and so true. I loved the noodles. Five more stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Indy said (age 4): the fortune cookies were delicious.

If you want a consistently delicious Vietnamese restaurant, this is the place to go. You can count on it time after time. Over the course of many years, I've only had one incident of mediocre service (she was just having an off night I think). I love the chicken and potatoes dish the most, but everything we've had there is always good. They are friendly and fast and reliable.

Khan the owner always greets me by name and asks how my whole family is doing. This is my favorite restaurant in the whole world to go to. I can't say enough good things about the owners, the staff, the food, and everything! Make sure to try Veggie lo mien, Shrimp Chow Mein, Beef lo mein, and just about everything else (Wontoon soup is to die for).
